THE SUMMIT
The Damage Prevention Summit is an annual regional CGA partner event.
The focus is to bring stakeholders within a state or region together. The purpose is to find ways of working together in the best interests of your local communities. The idea is that excavation safety issues on Main Street can best be resolved by the folks who work or live on Main Street. Or at least care about Main Street in your city. That would most likely be you and you and you!
The Summit is unique in that it brings stakeholders together so that if you’re really looking for better ways to work together… you’ll probably find them. Stakeholders typically represented are local elected officials, regulatory personnel, one call staff, excavators, locators and utility owner/operators. The utility types generally represented at the Summit are gas, electric, phone, cable TV, water and wastewater.
Networking opportunities are made available through workshops, training sessions, live demos and informative exhibit halls.
The Summit is the place to network with experts who have a common commitment to protect your city or state’s underground facilities while keeping your communities safer places to live and work.
From proposed legislation at the state or federal level to learning about new technologies… or maybe you are just interested in meeting the people who are responsible for somebody digging in your town. You need to know why it’s happening and who to call when it goes wrong. This is where you can find them.
That’s what the Summit is… a place for connecting!
Attend the Damage Prevention Summit and learn more than damage prevention and enforcement. Learn about the people that make it all happen. Learn that everybody doesn’t think like you do and learn that that is ok. Make plans to attend the next one in your area. You’ll be treated like somebody and for one important reason. You are!

Frequently Asked Questions
What if my company wants to register as a sponsor and/or exhibitor for more than one event?
Contact us! We offer discounts for those sponsors/exhibitors wanting to register for 3 or more events. The more events, the bigger the discount. Call or email us to find out how we can help!
So, what’s the difference between a workshop and the Summit sessions?
On the first day of any of the events there are various workshops, golf, etc. that are available to add onto your Summit registration. Most are an additional cost. Please see specific event websites for more information or contact us directly.
Is there a discount if my company wants to send several people to attend an event?
Yes, three (3) or more from same company saves $29/person and five (5) or more saves $49/person. This is for the Summit Attendee Registration. There are no discounts for the workshops.
What if I am short on time and can only attend one day?
We have day passes available at each event. This would be from 6am – 6pm on the main day of the event and include breakfast, lunch, reception, exhibit hall and all sessions offered that day.
